Center for Innovations in Special Education
CISE is a collaborative effort between the Missouri Dept. of Elem. and Secondary Ed., and the University of Missouri-Columbia, College of Education. Their mission is to provide professional development services and resources for those who ensure all learners achieve their potential. Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorders
CHADD is a nonprofit parent-based organization formed to better the lives of individuals with ADD and those who care for them. Deaf-Blind Perspectives
A journal-like publication that is free, on-line, and sponsored by Teaching Research. It is published 3 times a year. You can order the publication or look at the current issue of Deaf-Blind Perspectives on-line.

A very fancy page with lots of links to pages of interest to Special Education and people with disabilities. There are also lots of links to multimedia sites and music etc. that are not directly related to Special Education.

National Center to Improve Practice in Special Education Through Technology
Promotes the use of technology to enhance educational outcomes for students with disabilities. The page includes NCIPnet - facilitated discussions about technology use for students with disabilities, TEC Author Online - discussion with the authors of articles published in CEC's journal, TEACHING Exceptional Children, NCIP Guided Tours: Early Childhood - exploring two early childhood classrooms, Spotlight on Voice Recognition, NCIP Library, Ready SETT Go Workshop - on-line workshop on selecting assistive technology, Video Profiles - Videos of students using assistive and instructional technologies and links to other related sites.

National Center for Learning Disabilities, Inc.
The NCLD promotes public awareness and understanding of children and adults with learning disabilities and provides national leadership on their behalf.  The page includes news, information on learning disabilities, a resource list, and a description of NCLD's program areas.

NCSA Mosaic Disability Access Page
Has issues of access to me internet, WWW and Multimedia browsers in general by people with handicaps. The access methods are listed by disability type and operating system (computer type). There is also a long list of resources.

National Center for Youth with Disabilities
An Information, Policy and dissemination Center for Youth with Disabilities.
The page includes a directory, mission statement, publications list, CYDLINE Reviews, and web indexes.

National Clearinghouse of Rehabilitation Training Materials- Oklahoma State University.
The NCRTM provides a wide variety of disability related training resources to those who serve persons with disabilities. Included on the page is a catalog, list of NCRTM services, web conferencing, information request page, A to Z disability services, documents from the NCRTM catalog, counselor education page, links to other disability sites, searchable mental health network files, general www links and a phone number for toll free health information.

NICHCY
NICHCY provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues for families, educators, and other professionals. Their special focus is children and youth (birth to age 22). Included on this page is publications, state resource sheets, NICHCY posters, publications in Spanish, links to other information centers, and disability conferences.

National Institute on Life Planning for Persons With Disabilities
A national organization dedicated to promoting transition, life and person centered planning for all persons with disabilities and their families. Because it is a diverse and only professional membership association made up of teachers, lawyers, planners, social workers, advocates, etc., it provides this web page to help families obtain the latest information on transition, life and person centered planning, government benefits, advocacy, guardianship, aging, housing, supported employment and more. NILP is affiliated with CIHS at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, CA, just north of San Francisco. Includes the Life Planning Newsletter, National Training Programs, a Q&A section, a Life Planner Database, Publications, a Listserv for life planning and links to Specific Disabilities web pages as well as general interest web pages.

National Parent Network on Disabilities
NPND shares information and resources in order to promote and support the power of parents to influence and affect policy issues concerning the needs of people with disabilities and their families. The page includes legislative updates, the MCH program (The National Parent Consortium on Maternal & Child Health), a weekly news bulletin, resources for families, family health materials, a list of current projects, and links other related pages.

NTAC
The National Technical Assistance consortium for children and Young Adults who are Deaf-Blind - provides technical assistance to families and agencies serving children and young adults who are deaf-blind. They contribute to the Deaf-Blind Perspectives publication.

Parents Helping Parents
The page includes a resource directory which includes a rare condition resources section, upcoming events, The Family Resource Center, Specialty Programs (listed by condition or disability), a chat room, a volunteer support page, PHP produced conferences & IEP trainings listing, and links to other related sites.

Polio Survivors' Page
This is another personal page that has two focuses; one is the Polio Survivors' page with articles and books by and for polio survivors and links to other polio sites, the other is links to Christian sites.

A web site that links people with disabilities and chronic health conditions to resources, products and services that promote independent living. Features disability tips of the month, One Step Ahead Newspaper, Products & Services (for working from your home), Legal Briefs, a Reader's Exchange and links to resources on the WWW for people with disabilities.

TASH
An international advocacy association of people with disabilities, their family members, other advocates, and people who work in the disability field.
The page includes membership, links to other similar sites, information on TASH, information on the 1997 conference and action alerts.

Teaching Research Division
Western Oregon University Teaching Research page. The Teaching Research Division has a dynamic mission of state, regional and national research, program development and dissemination in educational improvement. A HUGE list of projects is available as well as publications and a list of staff.

Technical Assistance Center for Professional Development Partnership Projects
The TA center facilitates and supports the development of collaborative partnerships for the preparation of educators. The page contains a large list of resources about organizations and publications, conferences, web sites, and publications related to the professional development of educators.

The National Transition Alliance for Youth with Disabilities (NTA)
NTA is jointly funded by the US Department of Education and the National School to Work Office and the United States Department of Labor to promote the transition of youth with disabilities toward desired post school experiences, including gainful employment, postsecondary education and training, and independent living. The page includes links to the partners, products, databases and resources of NTA.

The Division for Early Childhood of the Council for Exceptional Children
DEC is a non-profit membership organization designed for individuals who work with or on behalf of children with special needs, birth through age eight, and their families. Their page includes, conference listings, CAN alerts, their newsletter, links to other associated sites, DEC board activities, DEC subdivision links, DEC policies and a link to Council for Exceptional Children.

The West Virginia Rehabilitation Research and Training Center
A national center conducting research and training to assist persons with disabilities into employment, the community, and independence through information technology.
