    American Indian and Alaska Native teachers and paraeducators are needed in K-12 special education settings. The Alliance Project for Tribal Colleges works to help meet this need.

    During the initial Alliance 2000 Project, fourteen Tribal Colleges and Universities (48%) submitted DPP grant proposals with Alliance assistance. Seventy one percent (71%) of these proposals were successfully funded. 

    Tribal Colleges and Universities that have received  special education personnel training  grants with assistance from the Alliance Project:
